"What Memories That Name Arouses !"
Towards the end of 1951, the magazine "Motor Sport" awarded the title  "Sports Car of the Year"  to the Frazer Nash in recognition of its successes in competition, irrespective of engine size.    During that year, the author, (then a young engineer at AFN LTD.) maintained a daily record of his work in and around the cars.

Forty seven years later, his diary was unearthed, dusted down, and used as the basis for this close-up account of life within that small but prestigious car plant of a bygone era.

First published by the author in 1998, it has now been re-edited and given a new format.

"What a gem!   It is by far the most interesting book I've read in years.    It's full of fascinating anecdotes about life at AFN in 1951, plus in-depth detailed notes on Moss at the Brirish Empire Trophy IoM, Stoop and Winterbottom racing at Le Mans including preparation, practice, pit stops, analysis of fuel and oil problems after the races etc. etc. All this amazing information comes from his 1951 desk diary.    Just Brilliant."
Tony Bancroft  (Post War Registrar, Frazer Nash section of V.S.C.C. )
